New Brighton Community Gardens

About

Our gardens have been described as flourishing, peaceful, diverse, and full of kindness by our visitors and volunteers. It's rare for anyone to leave our gardens empty handed or empty hearted. What's great about community gardens is that they're all different, but when done right, they fill specific needs within a local area. They fill the gaps left by society in different ways. For example, in some areas, it might be addressing loneliness, while in others, it's about ensuring food security. In some cases, it's about preserving kiwi backyards that are being lost due to intensive housing. If you're nearby, we'd love for you to come and check us out. We're always happy to meet new people.
